A Mother’s Hold

In a malnutrition treatment center in Aden, a mother cradles her child against her body. Her arms form the first shelter, instinctive, unwavering. Beyond hunger or circumstance, the image speaks of care as resistance, and of motherhood as the last constant in uncertainty.

About Artist

Aymeric Faure

Aymeric Faure is a documentary photographer and humanitarian professional whose work is guided by a deep curiosity for people, places, and the stories that connect them. He photographs primarily with his iPhone—an intentional choice that keeps him mobile, discreet, and close to the moment. His portfolio brings together intimate portraits, documentary scenes, and landscapes captured across the many countries he travels. From remote highlands to busy city streets, and from quiet encounters to wide open horizons, his images seek authenticity over spectacle. Years spent working in humanitarian operations, particularly in Yemen and the Middle East, shape his sensitivity and respect for the people he meets. His approach is simple: slow down, observe, and honour the humanity found in both faces and landscapes. Aymeric’s photography is a way of remembering, of preserving the encounters, atmospheres, and places that linger long after the journey.
