About Artist

Emiliano Pinnizzotto

Emiliano Pinnizzotto is a Photoreporter and Visual Journalist, based in Rome, Italy. Born in Rome on 25 June 1983 started to take pictures as a child. Through the years began to direct his passion for photography towards social reportage. In this way he gradually developed a style of his own, characterized above all by photographic storytelling and portraiture in a social vein, making use exclusively of the natural light available, even in the most difficult situations. Carried out several reportages around the world, in his work he pays particular attention to the anthropological and spiritual aspects of diverse people and cultures documenting and translating into images traditions, rituals, habits, and customs that are still observed today. At the same time, he has developed a great passion for the photography of architecture. He is a member of the National Order Of Journalists - he has worked for many years with the Graffiti School of Photography, as a teacher of photography, video, and post-production. He is represented by the Graffiti Press - Photojournalism Agency of Rome with whom he has published various reports in national and foreign newspapers. Many of his photographs have been collected in books published by the Graffiti Publishing House (“ROMA - Between Lights and Shadows”, 2018; “Light as Narration”, 2017; “Shape Volume Texture Colour”, 2016; “Youth Denied”, 2009; “Collateral Damage”, 2009; “Children of the Holy Land”, 2006) and a large number of exhibitions of his work have been held, in Italy (Rome, Florence, Genoa, Milan, Naples, Lucca, Empoli, etc.) and abroad (Lima, Bethlehem, Buenos Aires, Kyiv, San Marino, London, Portland-USA, Sintra, Paris, Sharjah - Dubai). In 2019 he published his first personal book "Unusual Visions" about four alternative reportages on India, presented in the prestigious Macro Museum in Rome and winner of some international awards. His photographs have been acquired by the Museum of Oriental Art in Rome and shown in La Feltrinelli in Naples, Genoa, and Rome. He took part in the International Festival of Human Rights in Todi (2017) and Orvieto (2018), Festival of Photography in Rome 2019, and in the Xposure International Photography Festival in Sharjah (Dubai) 2018 and 2019. Among his most important exhibitions were “Unusual Visions” in the Museum of Civilization in Rome “Luigi Pigorini” and “Perù - tan Lejos, tan Cerca” in Lima - Perù.
