About Artist
Jennifer Baron
Jennifer Baron (b. 1971) is a Dutch photographer and visual artist based in Amsterdam. After a career in education, she pursued her passion for photography and visual arts. She published her debut book Frozen August (2023) and Echoes of the Unseen (2024), combining photography with sketches and drawings to create layered visual narratives. Her work explores themes of loss, memory, identity and healing, striving to make the invisible visible. Through black-and-white imagery, she transforms light, shadow and abstraction into a visual language of presence and absence. Her photographs balance intimacy with suggestion, inviting viewers to explore the boundary between what is seen and what remains hidden and to reflect on their own memories and emotions. Across her projects, Jennifer translates deeply personal experiences into universal stories of loss, resilience, and transformation, allowing her work to both move and invite reflection on the unseen.
