Hetty Zantman until recently lived in Cape Town, South Africa where she started her career in the film industry and then worked as a photojournalist during the apartheid years. A few years later she moved into her own studio where she shot for ad agencies, magazines, corporates, non-profits and unit stills on set. She has exhibited in South Africa, Europe and the USA. Co-author of Cape Town as a State of Heart, she was a winner in Life Framer's Color awards and is now based in the Netherlands. “Photography dwells in the strange dimension between fact and fiction. The absurdity of life gives me an unrelenting need to connect with beauty and weird, imperfect things everywhere. I still believe in the inherent goodness in our world.”
