About Artist
Paul Italiano
Paul is an acclaimed fine art photographer in the US and internationally. He has worked in visual arts for his entire career, starting as a cinematographer for movies, music videos and documentaries. His approach to photography was born from this experience: his photographs go beyond seizing a moment in time to capturing motion and emotion. Paul studied photography in Toronto, Chicago, and San Francisco. He has contributed to furthering the art of photography through being a member and teacher at the Stromberg Photography Group in Chicago, the Dischler Photo Workshops in Palo Alto and Soho Photo in NYC. His work has been displayed in many venues ranging from the Triton Museum of Art (CA), the University of Chicago( IL), and Soho Photo Gallery (NYC). Paul has also achieved significant recognition on the international stage. Most recently, he received the 2023 Spotlight Award from Black & White Magazine, a resource for collectors of fine art photography. Also in 2023, Paul’s work was recognized by the International Photography Awards. The IPA is one of the most prestigious international photography awards, attracting over 14,000 submissions from 120 countries. Paul’s ‘Lords of Salt’ skateboarding portfolio was a winner in the Summer Sports category and one these photos was selected to be among the 30 "Best of Show" which will be exhibited at galleries and photo festivals around the world.
