About Artist
Yolanda Escobar Jimenez
Mexican documentary photographer based in Ecuador. Her work has focused on travel and social issues, with publications in prominent media such as Smithsonian Journeys (USA), Vanity Fair on Travel (UK), Pulitzer Center (USA), Americas Quarterly (USA), ÑAN (Ecuador), and books like Rastros del Futuro for Facebook. She has collaborated on audiovisual projects with international NGOs like UNICEF, WWF, and CIAT. She is an editor and photographer for @everydaylatinamerica, a community dedicated to presenting a daily, stereotype-free view of Latin America. As an editorial coordinator, she has worked on projects for the Quito Cultural Secretariat and the Metropolitan Institute of Heritage. She has served as a judge for awards such as POYLatam (2019 and 2023), The Everyday Projects Grant (2023), and the Nikon Photo Contest (2023), among others.
