I am a freshwater ecologist and naturalist dedicated to exploring human impact on nature. I lead a research lab in freshwater biology at McGill University, Canada, and prior to that I was a professorship at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. My passion for photography is weaved into my daily work as a scientist and I try to portray our research findings through images. I also work with modern AI based image recognition tools developing novel ways to use images to track how nature response to human pressures.
