José Miguel Angulo was born in Madrid in 1969. After completing his studies as aeronautical engineer in Spain he developed his professional career in the aerospace sector in Spain, The Netherlands and Germany. He started with photography more than 25 years ago. During all this time he has travelled around the world visiting numerous countries and getting in contact with different people and cultures, helping him to develop a genuine and immersive photographic style. Initially oriented to landscape and travel photography, his curiosity and great interest on other subjects has made him to add people and wildlife photography to his projects catalogue. He usually works with profesional models mainly in Germany and Spain, and his pictures have been published in different international media. During the last years, he has been working on a very demanding wildlife photography project in Africa, where he has taken some unique images there. As part of this endeavor, his first photography book “The Giants Whisper”, focused on the African elephant and wildlife in the Amboseli area, has been recently published. Produced in Germany and printed in the highest quality possible, it has got a very positive appraisal by the public. José Miguel is fully committed to support the wildlife ecosystem in Africa, and so he contributes with his photography work to charity projects in the region to protect the wildlife and to support a sustainable development of the local Maasai community in Kenya. His photography immerses the viewer into the scenery, is soulful and evocative, conveying emotions and capturing unique moments, the personality and character of the subject in question.
