Graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design, Department of Fine Arts, Photography Course, in 2019.
I work as an in-house designer for an import trading company dealing with food, and am involved in all aspects of visual communication, from product photography to branding.
In my work, I explore the poetic sentiment, tranquillity and interest hidden in familiar landscapes, using the keywords “Hiroshige blue” and “Japanese paper”.
I value a marginal perspective that moves back and forth between the hidden and the sunny, the front and the back, the real and the imaginary.
I do this because I feel that contrast is two sides of the same coin.
Every summer, I continue to present the “pinch of…” (Hitotsumami) series, which brings the “sea” to a land without a sea.
