About Artist
Vicki Wert
My interest in photography began in the 1970's when I was given her first film SLR camera, an Olympus OM-1. I started out mainly photographing family events and holidays, but was soon drawn to outdoor subjects such as landscapes, wildlife, and close-up photography. I enjoy photographing most subjects, but particularly love floral and other macro photography. Public gardens near and far are favorites for subject matter, but I also find my own garden to be inspirational and photograph my flowers most days during the summer. I love capturing flowers that exhibit personality or have their own story. We have a limited amount of time to share their story as they won't be staying in place for long.
