About Artist
Adam Barth
As a photographer - who is an inactive CPA, ex United Methodist Church pastor, and sober alcoholic - I see an incredible world of endless artistic possibilities with people, places, and things. Photography reshaped my life from the ordinary of alcoholism to the extraordinary of sobriety and I understand its power to reshape how a viewer sees and experiences the world. My work strives to transport others from the ordinary to the extraordinary through unique compositional perspectives with vibrant colors and tones. I have a passion for black and white photography and am inspired by Ansel Adams. I have not had any formal photography education, but am looking forward to advancing my knowledge with formal certifications and education in the future. Outside of photography, I am a husband and father of two boys - ages 4 and 2. They both have their own cameras and my oldest comes to photograph every sunrise I shoot. It is important to me that they see how vital creativity is in life and that we spend time together. In my spare time I love movies, cooking, reading, learning, public speaking, and public theology. Exhibitions and Awards: 2022 1) Black and White Exhibit - Blank Wall Gallery; Athens, Greece 2) Judge's Choice - Professional Photographers of NC Image Competition
