Anindita Roy is a self-taught freelance photographer from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her education in Fine Arts with a major in Graphic Design from the University of Dhaka. Anindita's photographic career started in 2017. Photography is more than just a passion for her. She captures photographs to visually tell a story, which she refines through her camera. She loves conveying messages or specific feelings to viewers through her photography. While exploring rural areas, she captures ordinary real-life moments and strives to evoke strong emotions through her imagery. While Anindita enjoys taking all kinds of photographs, she finds the most satisfaction in creating stories through documentary-style photography. Simultaneously, she is gaining confidence in capturing wonderful portraits. Despite not having received formal education in photography, Anindita believes in the philosophy of "Learning Through Capture," and she continues to learn by capturing more and more photographs whenever possible. Some of her notable achievements include recognition from SIENA, MonoVisions Photography Awards, Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA), Julia Margaret Cameron Award, and FIAP GOD.
