Sculpted Momentum

A black car twists through a concrete spiral, framed by light and shadow. The shape of the garage holds the motion like it was carved to fit. Each curve feels deliberate as if the structure and machine were built with the same language in mind. Movement without noise. Tension without force.

About Artist

Owen Prucey

Owen Emerson Prucey is a 19-year-old self-taught photographer based in Pittsburgh. His work aims to capture memories we hold on to, the isolating spaces we get stuck in, and the fragile connections that pull us back towards each other, using a variety of photographic styles. Being Japanese American is a significant aspect that shapes his perspective within the artistic space of photography. Often feeling suspended “in between” cultures, he developed a way of seeing things from both the inside and out. He wants his work to question him and anyone who sees it.
