Aaron Drummer is a photographer based in Savannah, Georgia, whose work blends the spirit of exploration with deep narrative purpose. After a career in international business development and over fifteen years of ongoing military service, Aaron transitioned to photography full-time at the age of 30. This shift was a natural evolution of a life spent navigating diverse environments and connecting with people across cultures, both in uniform and behind the lens.
Drawing from experiences in remote locations - from Indonesia’s Banda Sea to Montana’s wilderness - Aaron brings an authentic sense of place and grit to his work. Whether working commercially with outdoor brands or pointing his lens towards his documentary projects, his focus remains on human stories, captured with personal nuance and respect.
Aaron is a co-founder of Durran Media Collective and has produced work across the U.S. and internationally. His photography has been featured in Cowboys & Indians Magazine, F-Stop Magazine, Float Photo Magazine, and The Shako, and was recently exhibited in the Copenhagen Photo Festival and the Generations exhibit at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
Currently, Aaron is further exploring the photographic medium while pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at SCAD. As a student, soldier, and an artist, he approaches each project with intensity, commitment, and a drive to explore the complexities of the world surrounding his subjects.
