I was born in New Jersey but grew up under the sun in Playa del Rey, California, where I lived for 13 years soaking in the salt, light, and energy that still shape my work today. I later crisscrossed the country in my 1983 Land Cruiser with an open mind and a camera at the ready, chasing stories and light from coast to coast. After all that wide-open Americana, I found home on the island of Oʻahu. These days, I spend most of my time in the ocean, camera in hand, chasing glimpses of an underwater dreamworld. My work has appeared in The New York Times and in visual campaigns for clients like Patagonia Films, Mission Blue, NRDC, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and more.
