Our Town… fading glimpses of the Midwest

Rooted in a documentary style, these images present contemporary scenes of Midwest neighborhoods and towns, which present surviving remnants of the Midwest neighborhoods of my youth. With these images, I strive to create an intimate space where the viewer can enter the scene and create a story.

About Artist

robin w bailey

Grew up in Northeastern Ohio in the heart of the Midwest working class. Studied at Kent State and Ohio State and received a degree in English literature. Led an eclectic career including technical service, foundry engineer, magazine editor, public relations and marketing professional. Learned photography by self study and numerous workshops from photographers, such as: Frank Gohlke; Linda Conner; Eva Rubinstein; Larry Fink and David Bayles. Currently, retired and living in the Chicago suburbs. Work has been displayed through several shows in the Midwest.
