About Artist
Diane Klein
My photography is unposed and unplanned, much the way life is. My aim is to show how a moment captured can depict a universal truth. Something that reveals an aspect of the human condition. When I was young, I turned to philosophy to answer questions that I had about life and meaning. I found that the more I read, the more the answers eluded me. Now, in photography I have come back to those questions. I find that the answers are right in front of us. In a moment of life well-captured. "This is life," the captured moment says. "And, this too is life, says another one." So, sometimes a photograph can address those questions merely by showing life and letting the viewer come to his own conclusions. But, other times, there is no answer; only the question, persisting.
