About Artist

Kingsley Burton

A bit about me, I am a visionary fine art photographer whose life has been dedicated to the pursuit of visual storytelling and the creation of captivating artworks. Born in London, England, my journey has taken me across the globe, from growing up in Malaysia to immigrating to Australia and working in both London and Australia. I credit my diverse background and experiences to enriching my perspectives and contributing towards my unique photographic style. I was fascinated with the visual arts from an early age; my foray into photography began 40 years ago when an unexpected turn of events in an art class led me to explore the world of black and white, wet darkroom photography. I honed his skills in both the technical and artistic aspects of the craft, mastering the art of seeing and hand-making prints. While studying at university and working early in his career, I transitioned from film photography to digital media production. As digital photography evolved and matured, my passion for the medium was reignited, allowing me to blend techniques from traditional film and digital platforms to create my signature style. My primary goal is to produce captivating, intriguing imagery for discerning art collectors. My portfolio features over 600 images sold for commercial and private collections. Whilst I don’t promote it, I have been recognised with international awards, such as the International Colour Awards, Fine Art Photography Awards, and the Black and White Spider Award, as well as local recognition from the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. I am an accredited professional photographer and artist. I am also committed to being a photographic mentor and staunch advocate for education and development. My photographic focus nowadays lies in fine art photography, while he also works as a Corporate Advisor, Executive Director, and strategic foresight practitioner in the Health sector primarily.
