J'Ouvert

J'Ouvert (or The Opening) is a riotous ritual that kicks off the Notting Hill Carnival during its early hours. Revellers throw talc into the air and dance to Caribbean music. Tracking raised arm with slow shutter speed captures the spirit of a ceremony deeply rooted din the emancipation of slavery.

He strives to combine an aesthetics with authenticity and believes photography can be of lasting cultural value.
