I’m Carole-Ann “Caz” Chambers, a fine art pet and equine photographer based in Shropshire, England. My work celebrates the quiet grace, loyalty, and strength found in the animals who share our lives. Through the language of light, I strive to reveal their nobility, their spirit, and the deep emotional connections that bind us to them.
My photography is rooted in empathy and observation. Whether I’m working in the controlled calm of a studio or surrounded by the soft textures of the countryside, my goal is always to capture more than a likeness. I aim to create portraits that feel enduring and timeless, pieces that could hang above a stately fireplace yet carry the warmth of a shared glance between friends.
My journey began in 2007, encouraged by my husband, who recognised a creative spark long before I believed in it myself. Over time, photography became more than a craft; it became a way of honouring connection. Dogs and horses, in particular, speak to me through their honesty, intuition, and quiet strength.
I’m a Qualified member of the Guild of Photographers, and my work has been recognised through national awards, including a shortlist in the British Photography Awards. Beyond recognition, what matters most to me is the emotion a piece evokes — the sense that a moment, once fleeting, now lives forever in light and texture.
I also work alongside The Tilly Project, offering end-of-life sessions that provide comfort and remembrance for families saying goodbye to beloved companions.
To me, photography is empathy made visible. It is the meeting point between art and emotion, a way to preserve love, loyalty, and spirit long after the moment has passed.
