I find creative inspiration in the rhythms, patterns, and abstractions found in one of my favorite subjects - flowers. Recently I came across a beautiful philosophy that perfectly encapsulates my approach to photography. This philosophy is called "BIOPHILIA." It is Greek for 'love of life or living things.' Through my photos I explore connections between identity, transformation, and the natural world, often represented by abstract portrayals. Through my photographs, I work to capture and impart the same sense of joy and wonderment I found so stimulating to my imagination, along with creating the same feelings of peace and calm in viewers I enjoyed as well as experiencing new ways of seeing flowers and their beauty.
