About Artist

Natasha Podunova

Natasha Podunova is a photographer and contemporary artist. She lives and works in the suburbs of Ekaterinburg. Explores the theme of evolution and time as a physical phenomenon and its subjective perception by humans. Participant of group exhibitions of contemporary art and documentary photography in cities of Russia, Europe and Asia. Gold medal winner of the 15th International Photography Festival in China. Studied photography at the Photo Department Institute in St Petersburg from 2012 to 2014. Solo exhibitions were held in 2013 and 2017. Curator and co-curator of the science-art project "Came from the sea", which was shown at the Yeltsin Centre Art Gallery in 2020 and in 2023 at the PERMM Museum of Contemporary Art. Author of two photo books, one of which is in the collections of Russian Centers of Science and Culture in Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Gdansk, Helsinki, Vienna and Antalya.
