Kicca Tommasi is a fine art photographer based between Argentina and Italy. Her background as a dance performer as well as her refined visual sense as art director all contribute to give her work a visceral sense of storytelling, movement and place which combine to make multilayered and quietly dramatic images, striking as well as haunting. She holds a degree in Graphic Design from the Instituto Europeo di Design, Rome and a BA in Photography from the University of Westminster, London. In London she spent most of her professional life freelancing as a Travel Photographer and Art Director. For one year she was Creative Director for Conde Nast UK, Contract Publishing division, where she oversaw the art of several magazines and pitched for new business. After this experience she left the corporate world and became a dancer. In 2008 Kicca relocated to Buenos Aires lured by its lively creative energy and co-funded an independant Arts Centre where dance, concert, theatre festivals and masterclasses were organised. Unfortunately the space had to close two years later. Since 2018 Kicca is living between Buenos Aires and Italy and dedicate most of her time to Fine Art and Portraiture photography practice.
