About Artist

Alireza Pourkhan

Alireza has been passionate about photography for more than 30 years , ever since his parents gave him a Yashica MF2 as a birthday gift when he was 15 years old. Although he always wanted to receive methodical and academic education in the art of photography , it wasn’t possible for him. He learned this art from people and from the good and unfavourable events in his life , which have served as excellent teachers for him. He believes that a photograph can be far more impressive than , at times , hundreds of words. With an image , he can express his feelings perhaps better than with many sentences. Since 2010, when he was able to buy his first digital SLR camera, he became even more fascinated and focused more on photography. He has managed to acquire 42 gold medals and more than 20 silver and bronze medals in over 250 photographic salons, contests, and exhibitions in 65 countries. He holds the distinctions of “Excellence FIAP” and “Artist FIAP” from the Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (International Federation of Photographic Art) , “Crown 2” from the Global Photographic Union and “Proficiency PSA” from the Photographic Society of America.
