I’m a 38-year-old academic who picked up a camera just recently.
What began as a spontaneous experiment quickly became something more personal — a new language for observing, remembering, and expressing what I’ve always tried to study and understand: people, patterns, and the passage of time. I come from a world of books, lectures, and analysis, with a love for science fiction and fantasy, but I now find myself drawn to documenting the real — especially the quiet, unspectacular moments that make cities human.
Photography, for me, is not just about capturing what I see — it's about recording memory, emotion, and presence. This project is my first step, not just into photography, but into seeing differently.
