Héctor Ruiz Golobart is a young man from Barcelona whose life came into photography by chance in August 2019, when he bought a SLR camera to go on safari in Tanzania. During that trip, in addition to animals, he began to photograph the local population, their culture, their way of living, always from a distance and with the shyness of someone doing something for the first time. At the end of that same year, he traveled to Myanmar, a country where he discovered his passion for travel photography. Upon returning from his trip, the pandemic arrived, at which point he decided to teach himself photography and editing.
In 2021, with the borders open again, Héctor traveled again. First through Europe, and then through Africa, the continent that had stolen his heart in 2019. He started with Ethiopia in 2022, then through Sudan and South Sudan. Finally, in 2023, Héctor visited the last tribes in southern Angola and ended the year returning to Southeast Asia, specifically Bangladesh.
Today, Héctor combines his work as an engineer with photography, with the aim of dedicating himself 100% to his passion.
