Bio

Talia Woodin is a 23-year-old activist, photographer and aspiring filmmaker. She has worked with a diverse range of groups and movements across the climate, environmental and social justice spheres. In both organisational and creative roles, on a local, national and international level. Born and raised in Oxford into a practicing Jewish family, both her parents were actively involved in National Green Party Politics and environmental activism, which informed her early engagement in the issues. After studying one year of a Visual Anthropology degree at Goldsmiths, University of London, Talia decided to drop out, in part due to ongoing mental health issues that have motivated a lot of her campaigning, but to also pursue activism work full time. Initially as a photographer and media coordinator for Extinction Rebellion UK and then going onto to do the same for many other campaigns and organisations. In the two years since she has worked in organisational and creative roles for many campaigns and groups including Fridays For Future, HS2rebellion, Reclaim the Power, Kill the Bill and Pass the Mic Climate. She has also worked with and been featured by platforms such as The Guardian, Patagonia, Atmos Magazine, BBC, Ecosia and more. Her activism has also extended to direct action and frontline environmental defence as part of the campaign against HS2, in which she spent a year living and working within the grassroots campaign, physically resisting deforestation in the UK.
