Bio

Simon previously had his own landscape photography business in the beautiful English Lake District but his life took a change of course when was sponsored by Samsung to study for a Master’s degree in Global Studies and to photograph in South Korea from 2010 to 2013. During his studies he concentrated on different cultures and used photography as a medium to explore this subject. He also became interested in Zen and how this can be applied to photography. It was from there he travelled to North Korea and some of those images were featured on the BBC and in the world’s oldest photography magazine, the British Journal of Photography. He was a runner up in the TPOTY in 2010 and has since had several other finalist images in that competition. His photography has been widely published around the world in various publications. He has also done commercial work, testing and photography for several travel equipment companies.
