Photography has always fascinated me. This means both: the possibility to capture the experienced, the ephemeral as well as the resulting creative potential. Nevertheless, it took two important factors for it to become my private passion in 2015: Since my earliest childhood, I also have a strong affinity for the sea, which magically captivates me with all my senses in its many forms. Since I moved from Berlin - my hometown - to the Baltic coast in 2009, I now have this wonder regularly in front of my eyes. And these eyes wanted to capture this magic more and more, so in 2015 I acquired my first SLR camera. Not least because of the remoteness of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, I have had to learn how to use cameras and image editing programs completely self-taught. This learning phase will never end. In my free time I am almost always on the road with my cameras, with them in my hands I forget the time and everything around me. Rain and storm become promising stylistic opportunities. Unfortunately, as I work full-time in a completely different field, these moments are far too rare. I wish I could live from photography and spend every day with it. But to take this step part-time and alone is very difficult.
