Miranda Rotteveel is a Dutch visual artist who works at the intersection of photography and painting. Her work has a painterly character: she uses techniques such as chiaroscuro, subtle colour tones and balanced compositions reminiscent of the old masters. Miranda pays close attention to detail, material and light, giving her images a soft, poetic depth. Her work exudes craftsmanship, concentration and a sense of aesthetics.
