Marilyn lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was born in Ft. Worth, Texas. Her love of African wildlife began in childhood with weekly trips to the zoo with her dad. The amazing animals from story books turned out to be real , not fiction. Marilyn studied painting and art history at Texas Christian University during the 1980s. A trip to Africa in the late 1990s sparked a passion for photography as her creative medium of choice and resparked her passion for the animals. Human beings drive the imperilment of wildlife existence; that imperilment drives Marilyn's photography forward. She hopes these pictures inspire people to care about the welfare of leopards and other animals at risk of extinction. Her fear is that these magical animals may disappear into legend sooner than we think.
