Bio
I was born in Cameroon, my sister in Chad, and my brother in Morocco. From this nomadic childhood, I’ve retained a deep taste for discovery, for encounters, for the unexpected. It also nurtured my imagination and my love of storytelling. As a self-taught photographer, my work often explores emotion, the unconscious, dreams. Subjects that are, by nature, elusive. My images do not seek to present a strict representation of reality, but rather to suggest what cannot be seen: the poetic, the metaphorical. Experimentation is an integral part of my artistic practice, which could be described as that of a photographic artist. I feel the need to add physical elements (embroidery, volume, cardboard, ink, and more) to my photographs, perhaps in an attempt to give greater materiality to works whose themes are so intangible. My work have been exhibited in Paris, Arles, Aix-en-Provence, London, Athens and Brisbane.
