Bio
Marcel Strelow is a Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany based photographer. His photographic themes have been mostly landscapes and natural phenomena. Growing up on the East side of the Berlin wall, he doesn’t take travelling and enjoying the beauty of Earth for granted. Strelow was 7 when all borders opened, which greatly added to his urge to explore the world. Strelow today is best known for his unique time blend style, creatively expanding the limits of photography while remaining true to the moments captured. His first international acclaim was reach with his bioluminescence work, having been one of the first to use modern digital camera technology to capture closeups of glowworms in Waipu Cave, New Zealand. His work has been published and referenced by National Geographic, Lonely Planet and several newspapers. He also won several awards including ND Award, International Landscape Photographer, International Photography Award and others. Strelow also was the first individual photographer to combine creative work with ERC721 coding. Writing a custom Ethereum smart contract enabled him to add a new dimension to photography thanks to NFT technology when he released his ‘TimeSync’ collection in 2021.
