Lisbeth Luft (1993) is a documentary photographer from Germany, currently based between Barcelona and Brazil. After graduating from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, NL in 2020, Lisbeth began exploring diverse cultural realities, using photography as a medium to delve into the complexities of faith and its unseen but profound impact on human life. Her long-term project “My Invisible Truth” seeks to visualize the intangible, focusing on the spiritual and social dimensions of communities worldwide. Lisbeth's photography captures raw, intimate moments of everyday life, often portraying themes of human connection, cultural identity, and social dynamics. There is a powerful sense of warmth, diversity, and resilience in her work, underscoring both personal stories and communal bonds. Shot predominantly in outdoor and urban settings, her photography evokes a vibrant yet grounded sense of place and humanity. In 2019, Lisbeth received the "GUP New Photo Talent" award. Her project "My Invisible Truth" has since been exhibited in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and at the Helsinki Photo Festival in 2022. Her 2024 solo exhibition "Fé em Deus e nas crianças" was first held in Rio de Janeiro and later in Barcelona, reflecting her deep connection with Brazilian communities. Recently, her work has been shown in virtual NFT exhibitions in Argentina, Brazil and at the Subjective Art Festival in New York City. Her latest work "Uitwaaien" has been exhibited at the JRNY Gallery in Las Vegas concluding the DAM Artist Residency.
