Bio

Jamie Sewell, originally from the UK, but now divides his time between London and Los Angeles. From an early age he was fascinated by the printed image, and the stories photographers told. He studied art and photography at high school, before completing a degree in Fine Art. Sewell has a particular interest in light, shadow, and form which enforces his unique approach to his work. Drawn to the abstract, his graphically distinct photographic style is arresting and pulls the viewer in to the frame. Mainly shooting in Black and White, his cinematic perspective on the everyday reveal the world he inhabits through his camera.
