Bio
Jackson Vincent is a photographer from Philadelphia, PA, who is a senior at the University of the Arts. He is interested in identity, permanence, and abstraction with a recent focus on utilizing various additive and subtractive techniques to remove or otherwise obscure the identities of his subjects. His work has come to be recognized for its intentionally underexposed and ambiguous qualities, often displaying his subjects as supernatural or ghost-like in nature. Vincent has received the Mabel E. Johnston Scholarship, Trustee's Award for Excellence in the Arts, and the Alfred J. Ignarri Award for Junior Studio Photography from The University of the Arts and has exhibited at The Philadelphia Sketch Club and Cleveland Photo Fest. He plans to self-publish a photo book of selected works from his career discussing his fixation on identity in the near future.
