Drew Hopper (b.1989) is an Australian photographer and visual storyteller committed to documenting social, cultural, and environmental stories both nationally and internationally. Known for his thought-provoking and in-depth use of narrative, Drew has photographed multiple feature stories for Australian Geographic, including the front cover of the ‘Black Summer’ issue (2019-2020) on the Australian bushfire crisis. His curiosity for different ways of living has influenced his desire to travel to new and unfamiliar territories. With a talented eye, he captures intimate imagery and works with humility, respect, and a light footprint. In 2016, Drew spent 8 months traveling across India, on an assignment to capture images for an Affirmations Publishing House book titled ‘Enlightenment’ which was released in 2017. Drew also regularly contributes to Australian Photography magazine writing articles and judges monthly contests and has work featured in numerous publications worldwide.
