Bio

I am an Alaska based photographer, exploring natural and urban landscapes and related themes. After a brief career in the graphic arts field, I switched to a career in information technology as applied to natural sciences. Largely self taught, I use photography for creative self expression. I seek in my work a balance of artistry and meaning, aesthetics and journalism, the external observation and the internal investigation. My work has appeared in Black and White Photography, and B + W Photography, as well as numerous juried exhibits traveling throughout Alaska, earning honors in 2014 and 2019. My frost photography work was accepted to the 2021 CUPOTY close up photography exhibit.
