My name is Cosmin Ovidiu Stan, I am originally from Romania, and I live in Hunedoara. I am an international award-winning photographer in various prestigious photography competitions. My passion is photographing natural areas, especially mountain areas. Photography is the best way to express myself. Mountain and nature have been part of my life since I was a small child. I spent almost all my summer vacations at my grandparents, in a wonderful mountain area, more precisely in Garda de Sus commune, Alba County – Apuseni Mountains, Romania. This is where my love for nature started and also my curiosity to explore forests, hills, valleys and mountains. Photography appeared in my life much later, precisely in 2010. By uniting two passions: hiking and photography; this progress was bound to happen because the two go hand in hand. I am a self-taught photographer. Of course, I have been inspired by many photographers over time, and I continue to be inspired by them; my photography style is constantly developing and evolving with every hike I make. The photos I take are not of the documentary type. Each image is carefully edited because the camera cannot capture it in the same way as we perceive it with our eyes.
