I’m Anil T Prabhakar, a passionate multi-genre visual artist originally from Ponnani, Kerala, India. For the past 16 years, I have been living and working in Indonesia. My passion for photography is deeply rooted in the arts, with experience in pencil, oil, and acrylic mediums. Over the last 17 years, I have explored various genres of photography, believing that every photograph should tell a story. Currently, I am focused on a few documentary projects centred on conservation and ethnic communities in Indonesia. I have published a coffee table book titled The Beauty and Bleakness of Mount Bromo. One of my photographs, Helping Hand: Humanity (Orangutan Photo), was featured in National Geographic Magazine and has been showcased in newspapers, tabloids, and television across several countries, including on media giants like BBC and CNN. I have participated in over 50 international exhibitions across USA, Europe and Southeast Asia, collaborating with Muse, HUG, Guru Shots, and other curation platforms. I am also a patronage member of PhotoMuse, India’s first public museum dedicated to the art, history, and science of photography. Through its pursuit of photographic history, PhotoMuse documents, interprets, and promotes humanity’s natural and cultural heritage. The museum emphasizes education, conservation, and the preservation of India’s photographic legacy through its outreach and educational programmes.
